BORDEAUX, France, March 30 (Xinhua) -- The French League Cup final between Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco for the second consecutive season here on Saturday will be amplified by France sensation Kylian Mbappe's reunion with his former club.

Following a title-winning season with Monaco last year, Mbappe was loaned to PSG before the transfer window closed with an anticipated transfer fee of 180 million euros at the end of the season.

"Kylian is a good player that we know very well. He will be a quite dangerous player," said Monaco defender Kamil Glik at Friday's press conference.

"Kylian made the choice to go to Paris in order to make a step further. I'm convinced that he will get better and better," added the Polish center back.

"He is a very good player, very fast," Monaco head coach Leonardo Jardim pointed out, adding that the team does't have special plan against Mbappe, as PSG is a very strong team in the midfield.

French League Cup is the first glory up for grabs this season. Trailing by 17 points behind PSG, Monaco needed the French League Cup trophy to prove their ability to challenge the French league giant, especially after they lost 4-1 in last season's finale.

"Tomorrow we will do everything to win the trophy," said Glik. "They have many high-quality players. It's very important to win the game. It doesn't matter who is against us. The most important thing is to go back to Monaco with a title."

"Last year, it (French League Cup final) was exactly at the same moment, after the international break. We only had two days to train, so the most important thing is to stay concentrated throughout the match," commented Jardim.

Glik thought that world-record signing Neymar's absence will impact the duel too much.

"Everyone knows the importance of a player like Neymar. However, PSG doesn't have only one player. Playing without Neymar doesn't change many things.

"We don't have only defensive strategy, we want to keep the ball and try to play our football," he said.
